Suzuki Piano School
In her book How to Teach Beginners by Haruko Kataoka—which can be found on the Piano Basics website—Haruko Kataoka writes, "When you have beginners it is recommended to schedule lessons together with two or three students. While one student is taking a lesson, the others are required to observe. It is very important to observe lessons of other students as you may find something very important which you are not aware of in your ow child's lesson. This group lesson is not for the purpose of competition but for developing an objective and analytical mind and attitude."

I ask that all beginning students observe 3 lessons as their starting lessons, (there are no fees charged for these). In this way you will gain a better understanding of the basics and have a deeper understanding of what your child's lessons and practice will involve.
