Pasadena Conservatory of Music
The Pasadena Conservatory of Music (PCM) is an independent, nonprofit, nationally-accredited community school whose mission is to educate, advocate, inspire, and share through music study and performance.
The Pasadena Conservatory of Music is a place of study, performance, and collaboration dedicated to teaching traditional and contemporary music.
At the start of its curriculum continuum, the Pasadena Conservatory of Music (PCM) offers Young Musicians classes for children ages 4 months through 12 years old. During the school year, students are expected to enroll for the entire academic program (September through June); however we offer an eight-week program during the summer months to give new students a chance to try out our classes and to keep our current students engaged. Our program encourages and nurtures each child’s musicality with age-specific classes that are fun, creative, and developmentally appropriate. Children experience music in the classroom with parents or caregivers and a teacher through singing, rhyming, listening, moving, using props, and playing small percussion instruments; and are introduced to various styles of music, including classical, folk, jazz, and world music.
